Washington, DC – May 31, 2016 – MicroHealth, LLC is proud to announce their Chief Operations Officer and Co-Founder, Claude Hines, received Minority Enterprise Advocate (MEA) Magazine’s 2016 Business Technology Executive Award at their 11th Annual Federal Business Forum & Technology Business Awards Luncheon.

MEA Magazine honors business executives who show dedication and excellence in their industry. Hines first became associated with the health IT industry during his time in the U.S. Army. He helped transform the capture of service members’ health information provided in the Iraq War by fielding electronic health records (EHRs) in active war zones for the first time in history.

After serving for 27 years, Hines retired and co-founded MicroHealth in 2011 where they have made hiring and supporting veterans a priority within the company.
Since his retirement Hines has been inducted into the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Hall of Fame at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and has gained significant recognition among the health IT industry.

Hines was recognized not only for being a visionary leader within the health IT industry, but for his efforts in helping other small businesses achieve success as well. Hines has helped many small businesses get off their feet by providing advice and significant connections.

“It was an honor to be recognized as one of the top Business Technology Executives by MEA Magazine,” said Claude Hines, COO of MicroHealth, “I am proud to see that my efforts and the efforts of others recognized at this ceremony are not only influencing other professionals but future generations as well! Thank you to MEA Magazine for recognizing our efforts and for your continuous support of minorities in the business community.”
