IT Executives Receive GovTech Acquisition Leadership Award

Vienna, Virginia – MicroHealth LLC Co-Founders Frank Tucker and Claude Hines are among those being recognized as Acquisition Lifecycle Leadership Award honorees in 2024. This award, presented by GovTech Connects, recognizes individuals in government and industry who champion innovation, develop strategic partnerships, and challenge the status quo through cutting-edge strategies – creating more effective systems and teams to propel organizations into the future.

Today, Tucker and Hines spearhead MicroHealth, after having first crossed paths during their time in the U.S. Army in the early 2000s. At the time, Tucker was a physician’s assistant but was starting to create a name for himself after developing a reporting software, Medbase, which got picked up at another hospital, then other locations, before slowing evolving into a tool used by countless health providers. It was his success there that lead him to Hines, who was managing the deployment of the military’s Electronic Health Record (EHR).

As the two developed their working relationship, they noticed a gap between federal contractors’ ability to deliver solutions that both addressed the technical requirements while also delivering a sound solution that was clinician-approved. So, in 2010, the two decided to start their own business together.

Now, Tucker and Hines continue to experience success together, helping federal agencies with their health IT needs. MicroHealth has a expansive portfolio, showcasing their extensive expertise in areas such as EHRs, telehealth, medical simulation, software integration, and Artificial Intelligence, to name a few.

“We are honored to receive this recognition from GovTech and to be among the esteemed list of this year’s honorees,” adds Tucker. “This award gets to the heart of what we do at MicroHealth, and that is to ensure that we deliver successful outcomes for our clients with every project.”

“This award represents more than a personal achievement; it reflects the collective efforts of our entire team at MicroHealth and our ability to continue to deliver even on the hardest of projects,” adds Hines. “We are honored to be among the distinguished group being recognized this year.”
