Retired Military Colonel Joins MicroHealth as Business Analyst

Vienna, VA – Jan. 17, 2014 – MicroHealth CEO, Dr. Frank Tucker, announced that S. Jane Allgood has joined the firm’s team as a business analyst. The West Point Military Academy graduate is responsible for analyzing the company’s design systems and the integration of business models with technology.

“It’s a real honor to have Jane as part of the MicroHealth family,” said Tucker. “Her reputation precedes her and I have looked up to her leadership as a fellow Military officer.”

Prior to joining MicroHealth, Allgood led a distinguished military career in the health sciences, quickly rising to the top of her profession. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering from West Point and a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Baylor University. Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Field Artillery Corps in 1982, she served as a Field Artillery Officer and later as Chief of the Property Management Branch at Reynolds Army Community Hospital, Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Allgood graduated from the AMEDD Officers Advanced Course, Airborne School and Combined Services Staff School. She served as the S4,  2d Mobile Army Surgical Hospital and then as Commander, 690th Medical Company (Ground Ambulance), 34th Medical Battalion at Fort Benning, GA.

A graduate of the U.S. Army-Baylor University Graduate Program in Healthcare Administration, Allgood served as a military instructor for the Military Science Division, Academy of Health Sciences, AMEDD Center and School from 1992-1994.

Her expertise earned Allgood the position of Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff at the 44th Medical Brigade,Executive Officer of the 56th Medical Battalion (Evacuation) and Chief of Materiel in the Logistics Division at Womack Army Medical Center. She culminated her tour at Fort Bragg, North Carolina as the G4, 44th Medical Brigade.

Allgood was the Program Director for Medical Logistics Training for Health Services Materiel Officers, Health Services Warrant Officers and Medical Logistics Specialists at Fort Sam Houston, Texas and Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics and Assistant Deputy of Materiel, United States Army Medical Research and Materiel Command at Fort Detrick, Maryland.

Allgood participated in Operation Uphold Democracy, Operation Shining Presence and Operation Enduring Freedom. She participated in recovery efforts following Hurricanes Fran and Mitch. During her illustrious career, Allgood received numerous military awards.
She retired in 2004 with the rank of Colonel. Her husband, Col. Brian D. Allgood, was the Command Surgeon Multi-National Forces in Iraq, charged with improving medical capabilities of Iraqi Security Forces. On Jan. 20, 2007, he and 11 other military members made the ultimate sacrifice for their country when their helicopter was shot down by enemy fire. The Army Community Hospital for the U.S. Army Garrison, YongSan, Korea, where he served from 2004-2006, was renamed in his honor. They have one son.
